ELSA MACDONALD
MASTER OF WINE + DIRECTOR OF WINE EDUCATION

Elsa is the sixth Canadian and second female in Canada to achieve the title of Master of Wine.  Elsa holds an undergraduate degree from Ryerson University in Toronto and a Master of Science in Telecom from Syracuse, New York.  Since her 2003 major career shift from Management Consulting in Telecom and Financial Services, Elsa has worked in the wine trade in sales, marketing and education roles.  Currently, Elsa is the Director of Wine Education at Arterra Wines Canada.  Elsa serves on the national board for the Canadian Association of Professional Sommeliers and is certified by the same body.  Elsa also works with several wine schools in Canada delivering WSET diploma and other master classes.  

Elsa is the Director of Wine Education for Arterra Wines Canada.  She also delivers wine education to sommeliers, WSET diploma students and trade professionals through several wine schools in Canada.  Elsa serves on the national board for the Canadian Association of Professional Sommeliers and is certified by the same body.  Elsa holds degrees from Ryerson and Syracuse Universities in business and telecom.  A wine trip to France in 2003 was the catalyst for a career shift into the wine trade.  Elsa earned the Yalumba Scholarship in 2012 and is now the sixth Canadian and second female in Canada to achieve the title of Master of Wine.
