Jacob Richler is the founding editor of Canada’s 100 Best Restaurants, a biannual publication launched in March 2015, as a national restaurant review and ranking based on voting results from an elite national panel of judges. He is a food columnist with Maclean’s magazine, and before that, was the inaugural restaurant critic for the National Post. He has written on food, restaurants, travel and other topics for Departures, GQ, Flare, Financial Post magazine, Toronto Life, Canadian Business and enRoute, among numerous other publications. His book on Canadian cuisine, My Canada Includes Foie Gras, was published by Penguin in October, 2012, and is now available in paperback. He has also co-authored two cookbooks with Mark McEwan and one with Susur Lee. He is currently researching and writing First Shoot Your Deer, a book on hunting, fishing, foraging and cooking wild foods, which will be published by the Random House imprint Appetite Books in 2018.
