Jacques-André Dupont studied communications at Université Laval and Concordia, and joined L’Équipe Spectra in
1988. In 2013, he became CEO of L’Équipe Spectra, and of the festivals it manages, the Festival International de Jazz
de Montréal, the Francos de Montréal and MONTRÉAL EN LUMIÈRE.

Widely considered an authority in marketing and producing large-scale cultural projects, Mr. Dupont has a major
hand in supporting the vitality of the economic, artistic and tourism spheres in Montréal. MONTRÉAL EN LUMIÈRE,
founded in 2000, has evolved into one of the world’s biggest winter festivals, annually racking up over one million
visits by fans here to experience the wonders of a Montréal winter via a unique program combining gastronomy,
performing arts, and free outdoor activities. Some 500 renowned chefs, sommeliers and speakers have taken part
since the inaugural edition, in a festival that has presented hundreds of gourmet activities and events, becoming a
major showcase for local products.

Dupont sits on the board of directors of L’Équipe Spectra, the Festival International de Jazz de Montréal, the Francos
de Montréal, MONTRÉAL EN LUMIÈRE, and Tourisme Montréal. He also participates in a number of important tourism
and cultural committees in the city.
