Jane Rabinowicz is Director of The Bauta Family Initiative on Canadian Seed Security at USC Canada. Seeds are the foundation of our food supply, and the Initiative is Canada’s most comprehensive and innovative effort to build a resilient and sustainable made-in-Canada seed system. Jane and her team work with farmers, researchers, civil society, government and industry partners across Canada to develop a seed system that builds food security, climate resilience, and community self-sufficiency.

Jane is also co-founder and Vice President of the Silver Dollar Foundation, and sits on the Board of Directors of the United Way of Greater Montreal. She was previously Executive Director of Santropol Roulant, Director of Development at Equiterre, and has volunteered on the Boards of Directors of Girls Action Foundation, Food Secure Canada, and the Centre for Community Organizations.

She lives in Montreal.
