Kavita Meelu has been shifting the culture of Berlin through food. She runs a number of different projects that support young food entrepreneurs to create independent food business that challenge the culinary norms of the city.
Her driving aim is to make Germany's culinary landscape representative of its multicultural community. She is Co-founder of Germany's first Street food market, a weekly night market that hosts 55 small food businesses and 5000 guests and is currently working on building a public market that is home to new and old immigrant food culture in Berlin.
Some of her projects include, Street Food Thursday, Mothers Mother, Schalchtfest, The Breakfast Market & Burgers & Hip Hop to name a few.
