Michelle brings more than fifteen years of editorial experience to Figure 1’s publishing program, working closely with authors and publishing partners through the book development process to establish goals, organize content and shape the manuscript – from initial concept to finished product.

Michelle specializes in illustrated non-fiction in the areas of food, art, and culture. She has held prominent editorial positions with independent book publishers in New York and London, most recently as Senior Editor at Phaidon Press where she developed and edited a variety of critically acclaimed titles and award-winning books, including the Italian classic The Silver Spoon, the New York Times bestselling Mexico: The Cookbook, and the internationally acclaimed The Larousse Book of Bread.

Her extensive editorial experience has contributed to the success of numerous international and domestic editorial publishing programs.  She has a BA in Humanities from New School University and chef training certification from George Brown College.
