A culinary and agricultural influencer; a strong voice on all aspects of the culinary industry; a pioneer in the rapidly expanding Ontario cheese market; Ruth Klahsen almost needs no introduction. After running several highly acclaimed kitchens in Stratford, Ontario, Ruth taught at the world renowned Stratford Chef School from 1986 to 2000 (she is also an alumni from the inaugural class). In 2004, Ruth founded Monforte, an artisanal cheese company focusing on utilizing seasonal milk from animals raised on ethical practise to create stunning farmhouse style cheeses. Ontario cheese industry. Through her wit, passion and care for, “doing what is best for the world,” Klahsen is on a never ending mission to educate.
