“Song Bird,” an extraordinary plant-based dining experience hosted by Primary Colours and celebrated Chef Matthias Fong. This thoughtfully curated event will showcase the beauty of culinary artistry, community, and the vibrant renewal of spring.

Inspired by the heartfelt lyrics of Fleetwood Mac’s “Song Bird,” this six-course dinner pays tribute to strength, love, and resilience—qualities that reflect the hospitality industry’s passion, the connection between communities, and the beauty of the garden’s bounty. Chef Fong, known for his mastery of seasonal Canadian ingredients, invites guests to join him along with his invited chefs for an evening of beautiful intention and unforgettable flavors; Chef Danny Beaulieu from Änkôr (Canmore), Koji Kobayashi from Sukiyaki House, Chef Liana Robberecht from Brews & Bloom (Calgary/Edmonton), Chef Francis Martinez from Fine Print, and special guest chef from New York, Chef Abi Balingit. Also joining us will be Judith Kwong from Sukiyaki house to curate a stellar lineup of beverages to complement the evening.

The evening begins with a signature welcome drink and canapés, setting the evening for a celebration of art-driven culinary collaborations. Each course will be plated on stunning Steelite Canada plateware, where form meets function to complement the artistic narrative of each dish. To elevate the storytelling experience, thoughtful pairings will enhance every bite.

“Song Bird” is more than a dinner—it is a journey into the transformative power of hospitality. With every dish and every sip, this event invites guests to connect, celebrate, and savor the renewal and harmony of spring in an unforgettable setting.

Town in collaboration with Terroir Symposium and Meraki Cuisine are pleased to present Terroir After Dark, hosted at The Pioneer on 8th. During a full weekend of education and connection, take this opportunity to kick off your shoes and celebrate with your peers and friends. Terroir After Dark is an evening celebration of curious cocktails, small bites and vibrant music in the heart of Downtown Calgary, on the iconic Stephen Avenue.

Ticket prices include small bites & cocktail tasting with additional beverages available for purchase. Doors open at 8:00PM.

The evening features renowned chef Amanda Lambert, owner of Meraki Cuisine. In 2021 husband and wife duo, Miltiadis Chiotelis and Amanda Lambert founded Meraki Catering. Though their culinary paths started very differently; his in the Aegean Sea learning from his elders, and hers at culinary school followed by mentorships by some of the world's best chefs, their paths crossed at SASH in Toronto and together they evolved into a culinary force. Their sample menu is a nod to savoury drink and food pairings. Featuring Noble Premium Bison, Burnbrae Farms, Good Leaf, Chinook Cheese and Barry Callebaut.

Cocktail pairings in partnership with Break Thru Beverage are designed by Sherri Evans of Sugar Water Bar. Experience a curious cocktail tasting featuring Herradura, Gin Mare, Ford Dry Gin & Chambord. Additional cocktails and non-alcoholic options are available for purchase.
