Megan & Amir Epstein

Co-founders, imissmyfood.com

Together, the husband-and-wife team of Amir and Megan Epstein represents the entrepreneurial prowess of a new breed of Canadian business and creative professionals who used the pandemic to pivot to bold new careers and success in entirely new fields. The Epsteins are co-founders of IMissMyFood.com™, an independent, commission-free online ordering platform and delivery service for Canadian restaurants.

Megan Epstein continues to run and operate Epstein Law Professional Corporation, a law firm in Vaughn, Ontario, along with co-founding and serving as the first female CEO of an on-demand restaurant ordering platform. In her role, she is responsible for day-to-day operations of the online restaurant ordering platform and national delivery service (formerly IMissMyMontrealFood.com), demonstrating a keen hands-on approach to helping the foodservice industry survive and thrive.

In joining her husband to create and grow Canada’s first and only national restaurant delivery service, Megan has helped transform the platform’s initial Shopify site into a powerhouse top-earnings producer in its first year. She was instrumental in developing a new revenue stream for Canadian brand restaurants beyond the traditional 5km delivery area to reach a multi-million buyer market coast-to-coast.

As co-founder of IMissMyFood.com, Amir Epstein enjoyed a lucrative pre-COVID career as an accomplished musician (Crash Karma, Zygote), artist manager and owner of an entertainment production company in California. When the pandemic began, he pivoted away from entertainment to create a new business that would flex his creative muscles and offset a halt in the entertainment industry. After conversations with Megan about her passion for the food of her native Montreal, Amir, also a graduate of law, formulated a new business model for a service that would help Montreal’s legacy restaurants by delivering their recognized cuisine to hungry Toronto customers.

Among their accomplishments, these industry trendsetters have since expanded IMissMyFood.com’s local restaurant delivery corridor to bring recognized brand restaurant dishes to eager diners throughout Canada, opening the first and only portal for food merchants to a potential multi-million buyer’s market. The new service reaches into every large and small urban centre and underserved rural community, besting Canada’s Big-3 delivery services as the only online ordering platform that delivers restaurant food overnight from coast-to-coast, direct to the front door, or event location.
